Tumblr, this is Christina. She is an active gamer, con goer, and fan, just like the rest of us in this community, and the day after Christmas, she was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in her stomach—cancer.
Many of you have seen my post advocating her cause, and I am here asking you all to please continue spreading the word about her situation.

We’ve raised a little over $3,000 thus far, and, the impact of your generosity has already been felt. With this money, the first payment for Christina’s surgery was covered, and as of March 1st, my dearest girl is tumor free. She has been recovering at home and is well enough to be up and about and going to school. To everyone that contributed initially, from Christina and everyone that knows and loves her, we give you our greatest thanks. A great many tears were shed when we all bore witness to how quickly all of you jumped in to help, and no words can equate to our level of gratitude.
And now, let’s see if we can keep the ball rolling. Christina’s surgery costed $20,000, and while we are eternally grateful for those of you who have donated thus far, we are still short about $16,000. The immediate stress of being able to get the surgery at all has been lifted, but the financial burden still weighs heavily on Christina and her family. Even if it’s just a stack of pennies hidden in the back of your sock drawer, any size donation will help. To all of you, thank you.

Since I’ve taken my current femspy cosplay around the block and back again and since my hair can no longer be styled as such, for Fanime 2013 I think I am going to put kurimja’s femspy on a temporary hiatus and will instead bring Makani’s(?) femspy. I just need to make a new mask, and I already have everything else.

I recently participated in a discussion about this and was shocked to find that very few people seem to really know how to deal with creepers at conventions. Now, this isn’t the end all be all “how-to”, but it’s what has worked for me over the years and hopefully it can help…

Gee, these crazy ladies sound a lot like the TF2 fems… Huh.
The more I listened to it, the more this idea of doing a video to it came to mind, and after a bit of talking with Teaanemone, we decided that yes, we need to do this.
